Facilitator Training will introduce you to both the Leadership Development and the Building Effective Teams workshops.  However, attending this training session is considered excellent preparation for running any or all of the group workshops. There is considerable crossover between each of the Facilitator Guides, in terms of Extended DISC® theory, similar types of activities, similar agendas and layout.

Support Materials

We have the following additional support material available for purchase. You will find all of the items very useful for consolidating participant learning and encouraging deeper engagement.

DISC Card Games

DISC Card Games are a practical, and fun, way to build an understanding of the DISC Styles.

DISC Card Games are specifically designed for coaches, consultants and managers to use in team building situations. Optional activities, using one or other of the DISC Card Games, occur throughout each of the Facilitator Guides. The boxed set of cards includes four interactive games to reinforce and enhance learning:

  • DISC Trivia
  • DISC Role Play
  • Match the Adjectives
  • Identify the Styles
Identify and Communicate Flip Cards

Identify and Communicate Flip Cards are ideal for helping your clients and employees implement their knowledge of DISC.

One side provides information and tips for identifying the four DISC Styles. The other side tells you how to communicate more effectively with each of the DISC Styles. These cards are referred to from time to time in the Facilitator Guides (as an option to use with the group participants).

Discovering the Styles Booklets

Discovering the Styles Booklets put summarised information about each of the DISC styles at your fingertips – includes identification, communication, motivators, decision making, sources and signs of stress, leadership styles, sales and customer service styles, attitudes towards teamwork.

How to Identify and Sell to Different Customer Styles Wallet Cards

How to Identify and Sell to Different Customer Styles Wallet Cards obviously team up well with the Sales Facilitator Guides. These folding cards inform you, in brief, how to identify customer styles and how to sell to different styles.

Managers’ Support Book

Managers’ Support Book is designed to help managers understand the different behavioural styles of their employees.

It provides suggestions on how to manage and support their team, as well as information about where conflicts might arise and suitable resolution strategies for each behavioural style.

DISCubes serve as an excellent daily reminder of different behavioural styles, their strengths, challenges, fears, and more.

Employees can keep them on their desk as a constant reminder that we are all different. Better yet, quickly glance over “How to approach the specific style” before heading into a meeting with them

How do I integrate DISC into an organisation's culture?

Extended DISC® is a great tool for helping a group of colleagues to work effectively and productively together. It’s much more than just a training event. Some organisations choose to roll out DISC team by team, starting at the management level.

The following steps provide an example of how DISC can be integrated into a company’s culture:

STEP ONE: Distribute invitations to complete the Extended DISC® Online Questionnaire to the selected staff members.

STEP TWO: When the assessments have been completed, conduct individual or team debriefs of the results in order to identify each individual’s strengths and challenges.

STEP THREE: We recommend conducting an additional workshop (one of the facilitation sessions outlined above) with the group to integrate their knowledge of Extended DISC® into real-world situations. Participants will have an increased knowledge of themselves and their colleagues by the end of the session, resulting in improved communication, more empathy, an awareness of people’s particular strengths and how they can work effectively together as a team, amongst numerous other things.
